Contrary to popular belief, Nashville is not entirely country.

Apparently Gary Coleman died almost a week ago.  How did I miss this huge piece of information?!

I started looking at Graduate Schools today.  It made me feel a lot better to know that I am on the right track…though I choose not to think about how I might pay for a Masters Degree.

24 days until camp.  I am slowly starting to warm up to my viola again.  For instance, today I glanced at the case a couple of times in passing, thus acknowledging Lloyd’s (the viola’s) existence.  Maybe by next week I will actually unpack the instrument.

Summertime and the weather is breezy

It’s summer and I’m feeling bloggy.

I am supposed to power wash everything in sight today but so far all I’ve done is upload some facebook photos and eat a questionable tuna sandwich.  To be totally honest, I’m not entirely sure what a power washer looks like.

26 days until camp starts.  I suppose I’m excited.  It seems an entire world away and being thrown into an inescapable environment where I know no one never sounds appealing, but I know it will be a good experience.  And of course I’ll make friends. I hope.

Wichita last week was a blast.  My friends at Belmont don’t really talk to their high school friends, so I didn’t realize how rare and incredible my friendships in high school really were until I was taken out of them. I count myself extra blessed to know and be a part of such an amazing group of people.  I can’t wait to go back this weekend.

My summer in Dallas has consisted mostly of reading and lounging in the pool.  I particularly enjoy summer because it allows me to read as many books as I can get my hands on  from the “young adult” section.  Right now I’m out of books and I don’t know what to do with myself.  Perhaps that’s why I’m blogging.

It was my goal to once again become friends with running this summer….but alas, the forecast for this week is entirely in the triple digits.  My motivation decreases while temperature increases.  A plus of the hot-ness: the pool is no longer an ice bath.
